The three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald was seen swinging a helmet towards the Bengals team during the on-field scuffle

A significant altercation broke out on the field during the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals' joint practice on Thursday 

The brawl appears to involve both squads throwing numerous punches

The league can punish the Los Angeles Rams for not controlling their guys 

After practice, Rams head coach Sean McVay stated, "I don't know precisely what started it. "I believe that in some cases, it's teams defending one another  

He said as well "Fortunately, from what I can tell, no one was wounded, so we can move on. I won't make a bigger issue out of it than it is. I won't be looking at finger-pointing."   

After the game, both teams have been contacted by CNN for comment but Donald did not make himself available to the media
