Dr. Dre almost died from a brain aneurysm

Following an aneurysm last year, the 57-year-old rap musician spent two weeks in an intensive care unit. Dr. Dre has now said that his family was even summoned to the hospital to say their "final goodbyes."

The hip-hop legend, real name Andre Young, stated the following: "They permitted entry for my family. Later, I learned that they had phoned them because they believed I had left the country so they could say their final farewell."

Dre received ongoing medical care as he was recovering from the aneurysm.

Earlier this year, Dr. Dre joined artists including Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, 50 Cent, and Kendrick Lamar onstage for the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
