“It's a Wonderful Life” star Virginia Patton Moss passes away at age 97.

Virginia Patton Moss, an actress most known for her memorable performance in the beloved holiday film It's a Wonderful Life, has passed away on August 18 in Albany. Age-wise, she was 97.

Former child star Karolyn Grimes, who appeared in It's a Wonderful Life, posted a statement on Facebook to convey her sorrow: "We have another angel! Virginia Patton Moss. She was 97 years old. She played Harry Bailey’s wife in the film, It’s a Wonderful Life! She is now with her beloved Cruse. She will be missed!"

As said, Moss played Ruth Dakin Bailey, the sister-in-law of George Bailey and the wife of Harry Bailey (Todd Karns) (James Stewart). "Cruse" is a reference to Cruse W. Moss, whom Moss wed in 1949. They were married for ten years and had three kids together before Cruse passed away in 2018.

We would like to express our condolences at this time to Moss's family and friends as they cope with his passing. May she rest in peace knowing that her memories will go on.
