Issey Miyake has died in hospital in Tokyo aged 84

Issey Miyake Born in Hiroshima in 1938

Issey Miyake, was a renowned avant-garde fashion designer and innovator

Issey Miyake was known for his boldly sculpted pleated pieces as well as former Apple CEO Steve Jobs' black turtlenecks.

His works refers to a variety of cultures and societal motifs, along with everyday items — plastic, jute, rattan, "washi" paper, etc.

Issey Miyake Works earned him the title ‘Prince of Pleats’.

He collaborated with several prominent personality like Tadanori Yokoo,  Shiro Kuramata,  Irving Penn, Lucie Rie, Ballet Frankfurt and others.
