Sarah Palin advances to Nov General Election for Alaska House Seat

Sarah Palin, a former governor of Alaska, will participate in the November general election for the state's sole House seat.

Democrat Mary Sattler Peltola and Republican Nick Begich will both be on the fall ballot.

In addition, Palin was running against both Republican and Democratic candidates for the open congressional seat left vacant by the passing of Republican Rep. Don Young in March.

A win would mark a political comeback of sorts for Palin

Palin, a beloved figure in the now-defunct right-wing Tea Party movement, abruptly left her position as governor in 2009.

In the primary election in June, Palin won after receiving Trump's endorsement.

Since leaving her position as governor, Palin, like the former president, has worked as a political analyst and reality-TV personality.
