Patricia Lee Lloyd, the half-sister to the well-known Oprah Winfrey, was born on 3 Jun 1959, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in the United States, to Vernita Lee and willie wright. Vernita Lee, the mother of Lee Lloyd, passed away in November 2018.

Lee Lloyd was married to Kenny Lloyd Sr, and the couple welcomed two daughters, Chrishaunda Lee Perez, and Alisha Hayes, respectively. Oprah Winfrey, Patricia Lofton, and Jeffrey Lee, who is deceased, were her siblings. Vernita Lee, Lee Lloyd’s mother, and Lee Lloyd resided in Milwaukee. In Wisconsin, she lived for a very long period.

Oprah Winfrey’s half-sister Patricia Lee-Lloyd, who had lived her entire life in Wisconsin and with whom she shared a mother, passed away on 19 Feb 2003 in New Berlin, Wisconsin, home. Mrs. Lee-Lloyd was raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she shared a home with her mother, Vernita Lee, a housecleaner.

Sometimes, Oprah Winfrey lived with the Lee until migrating to Nashville, Tennessee, to reside with Vernon Winfrey, now widely recognized as Oprah’s father. Mrs. Lee-Lloyd got married and had children. Lee felt she had no option but to give her daughter up for adoption.

According to a spokeswoman for Harpo Productions, Winfrey made funeral arrangements but was unavailable for comment. Mrs. Lee-Lloyd is survived by her husband, Kenny J. Lloyd, Sr., and her daughters, Alisha Hayes (Tydus) and Chrishaunda Hayes, and Winfrey and her mother.

Mrs. Lee Lloyd was preceded in death by her siblings Jeffrey Lee and Patricia Amanda Faye Lee, also known as Patricia Lofton, respectively. Funerals were held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s Holy Cathedral Church of God in Christ, 2677 North 70th Street.

On 19 Feb 2003, Patricia Lee-Lloyd was discovered dead by her husband Kenny Lloyd in their New Berlin, Wisconsin apartment, according to the New York Daily News of 26 Feb 2003. She died of an Oxycodone overdose, the coroner eventually determined, but the cause of death was first unclear.

Patricia Lofton was born on 26 Apr 1963 and put up for adoption in the same year of birth. Before being adopted, she spent her young years in foster homes. She was desperate to make amends with her birth family because she thought she didn’t belong in society.

Jeffrey Lee is survived by his mother, Vernita Lee, sister Oprah Winfrey, sister Patricia Amanda Faye Lee, also known as Patricia Lofton, and sister Patricia Lloyd nee Lee. Jeffrey and Oprah were no longer close. According to some reports, they reconciled on his deathbed.
