Who is DM?

A district officer is an Indian Administrative Service officer (IAS), i.e, and an IAS officer becomes the District Magistrate after promotion, who has the post of the highest executive magistrate of a district in India.

The candidate who is successful in all the three phases of the examination is given two years of training at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) to become an IAS officer.
